SwiftGrid use case

Preview and Undo WooCommerce Bulk Edits

To check a WooCommerce bulk edit before it reaches your store, edit in SwiftGrid. Grid edits stay pending until you click Save Changes, and AI commands show a preview before they apply.

Who This Is For

You change many products at once and want to see the result first, and to reverse it if it is wrong. You might put it as: “I changed 400 prices and got it wrong.”

Steps in SwiftGrid

  1. Edit cells in the grid, or paste values into them. Nothing reaches your store yet. Edited cells are highlighted, and the status bar shows how many rows are unsaved.
  2. Press Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z to undo an edit. The grid keeps up to 50 undo steps and supports redo. Click Discard Changes to drop every pending edit.
  3. Click Save Changes, or press Ctrl+S or Cmd+S, to write the edits. If another user changed a product after you loaded it, that row fails with a message to reload, and your edit does not overwrite theirs.
  4. For an AI command, click Edit with AI, type the change and click Preview changes. The preview shows how many products change, a sample of up to 20 rows with before and after values, and the products it skips and why.
  5. Click Apply to N products to write the change. Click Undo to revert it. Undo stays available until you close the panel, and a row someone else edited after the preview fails to apply instead of being overwritten.

What Is Free and What Is Pro

Free Pending edits with highlighting and a count, undo and redo, Discard Changes, conflict checks on save, and the AI preview with one-click Undo.

Pro History. The status bar shows “N changes recorded”. Click it to open History, which lists the newest 50 AI box commands and agent bulk edits. Each entry expands to show the value of every product before and after. Click Roll back to restore a whole change in one go. A field edited since the change is left alone, and SwiftGrid names it.

Pro Approval gates. An agent’s edit, or an AI box command if you switch that on, waits on the Pending tab in History until a store manager approves or rejects it. You set both switches under SwiftGrid > Access. Agent edits are held by default. A request left unanswered expires after 7 days.

SwiftGrid Pro is not on sale yet. The signup below is how you hear when it is. See what is in Pro on the SwiftGrid page.

What History Records

History records AI box commands and agent bulk edits. It does not record edits you make by hand in the grid and save with Save Changes, so you cannot roll those back from History. Row-level edits an agent sends with the save-products ability are not recorded either. Before you save a manual edit, use undo and Discard Changes.

Compared With Native WooCommerce

In WooCommerce, the Products screen bulk edit applies as soon as you click Update. It shows no before and after values, and it has no undo. WooCommerce does not keep earlier prices for you to restore, so you reverse a mistake by re-entering the old values or restoring a backup.

SwiftGrid holds hand edits until you save them and previews AI commands. With Pro, an AI or agent bulk edit can be rolled back afterward.
